CLIENT: OUR EXPERTISE IN THE FOOD & BEVERAGE INDUSTRY

Often in the food industry, the setup is very personal to the owner(s). We have learnt over time that the sure way to go is to fully immerse yourself in their vision until you can taste their passion.

From that moment on, it is a partnership.

Such is the case in our relationship with the serial foodprenuer, Alice Simba, who’s story is nothing short of inspiring. From her home kitchen, she launched BlackForest House, a cake business, offering homemade cakes and pastries. We would then meet a few years later when she already had a couple of successful branches in the city. She tasked us with transforming that business into a professional chain that she could franchise in time. Before we knew it, there was 10 branches in the city and franchise opportunities flowing in.

At one of our usual marketing meetings, Alice casually introduced her new idea- a luxury restaurant that would serve home-style food and the best desserts in town. Kitchen Mechuka was born and we would then have the grand opening just five months after that meeting.

Not very long after launching Kitchen Mechuka did we have another eureka meeting. Alice was looking to get into the coffee shop business as well. Leveraging on her food reputation and the success of the other brands, we launched Drizzle to market. Drizzle is a personal favorite for us, you have to have it to understand just how good it is…

Rehoboth Bread was the product of a phone call where Alice famously asked Harriet, “so what are we missing?” Harriet jokingly answered, “bread. We don’t have bread Alice!” “Ok, launch it!” Alice replied. Three months later, Rehoboth was on the shelves and the rest is history.

We have always said that we are all about crafting strong relationships with our clients and we do truly consider marketing a partnership.
